Giving God Something To Work With....
For a few years now God been leading me to this scripture John 3:16 I even spoke to my Pastor about the scripture to get her insight on it. As I spoke to her I agreed with her answer it was a great response and seemed correct, but, I still wanted more. Then I begin reading it again and again; then oneday as I was heading to bible study on a rainy wednesday evening; I had this sudden tug to go to bible study and during this tug; the enemy wanted me to stop to eat; although I was hungry I decided not to stop or else I would be late. So after stopping to the Auto Zone store my care wouldn't start so I had it checked. I begin praying and then my car started and the employee, said that he didn't find anything wrong. So I headed to Church and during my ride God brought back to my memory the scripture John 3:16 " For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. I really wanted to know what this scripture meant; God quitley spoke to me and said "I have given my Son for the world and all I simply want you to do is give something up for Me" and suddenly I was taken up into the spirit and He said "Some things come by fasting and and praying."
In this scripture all God is saying is that we pray for a might move of God in our lives, but not willing to give anything up for God to work with. Fasting is simply giving up something you really enjoy for a few hours days or weeks. It shows God I'm willing to give something up important to me just to feel your presents and to see a mighty move of God in my life. Prayer is a request for help and everyone has different request; no one request is the same and God answers them in different ways, is also a expression of thanks addressed to God in worship.
Remember some things come by Fasting and Praying.......
Be Ye All Ways Blessed and Walking By Faith
